  • Abstract
A new technique for automated synthesis of linear and low noise amplifiers (LNAs) based on genetic algorithm and morphological approach is presented. It accounts for a simultaneous set of LNA performances; also, it allows the precise control of amplifier structure and element values leading to practical solutions. The technique is implemented in the software tool GENEAMP. Example designs of 2-10 GHz one-stage LNA and Ka-band two-stage MMIC LNA are demonstrated.
