Abstract :
A digital driver-sensor instrument for use in VXI instrumentation systems is described, with an architecture derivedfrom that of large, powerful digital board test systems. The feature requirements for a VXI digital instrument are presented and compared to those of traditional digital testers. Finally, the instrument´s structure and design, which fulfll these requirements, are discussed.
