Abstract
The theory of Radiative Energy Transfer (RET) has been adopted in recent years as a reliable tool to forecast radio wave propagation inside and near vegetation medium. However distortion generated during measurement process has compromised extraction of input parameters of the RET theory, consequently its precision of prediction. Previous work has proposed a deconvolution approach using Automated Regularization filter to remove the measurement distortion. Further study has found that better performance can be achieved by using a prefiltering technique. This paper presents a combined approach of using auto/cross-correlation prefiltering and Automated Regularization deconvolution method to eliminate the distortion caused during measurements.
