  • Abstract
    A simplified and approximated probability density function (PDF) has been obtained for the signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) of the maximal ratio combining (MRC) 2D-RAKE receiver in a frequency-selective Nakagami multipath fading with arbitrary fading parameters, thus simplifying the analysis of bit error rate (BER) and outage probability in the presence of multi-path interferers. The numerical results indicate that the 2D-RAKE receiver could improve the system performance of WCDMA communication systems
