Abstract :
This paper analyzed the operating characteristics of peaking regulation of nuclear power generating units, and proposed a operational mode that the nuclear power directly involved in peak load regulation of power grid and its related problems that may exist. Although nuclear power generating units has a good peaking capacity, they only work with basic load in actual operation and rarely participate in peaking regulation. Combining the superior characteristics of peaking regulation of pumped storage power generating units, this paper compared and analyzed the three kinds of operational mode about unified peaking regulation of nuclear power and the pumped storage generating unit. As a guarantee of the nuclear power units which run with basic load, pumped storage power stations will conducive to the safety about nuclear power and power grid. It can be better reflecting the superiority of nuclear power units and improving nuclear economic benefits.
