Abstract :
An effective method is presented that enables a compact representation in the discrete, complex-valued time-domain, of wideband frequency-domain S-parameters describing an arbitrary linear, time-invariant network. Using a straightforward mathematical approach, it is shown how bandpass non-periodic frequency-domain data may be accurately represented in the time-domain. This kind of representation can be used in discrete convolution for linear or non-linear time-domain simulation. Examples are given providing verification of the proposed representation technique.
