Abstract :
Environmental energy is an attractive power source for low power wireless sensor networks (WSNs). Renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, thermal, and vibrant energy provides services without interruptions for environmental applications. Environment monitoring applications require data collection from each node but time-varying and dissimilar recharging rates of sensor nodes poses challenges. The aim is to design a sensor network which gives fair and high data extraction from all nodes in presence of renewable energy source by computing lexicographic data collection rate and routing paths for each node. We propose a distributed algorithm for computing lexicographic rate assignment. We compare distributed algorithm with other routing techniques using different scenarios.
