Abstract
A novel millimeter wave filter based on substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) technology is presented. TE301 mode cavity is used in the design in order to improve the quality (Q) factor of the filter. Some corrective measures are taken to compensate for the unsymmetrical transmission response produced by parasitic coupling from the non-resonant mode. Measured results show that the stopband rejection of this filter is better than -45 dB. Sharp transition characteristic in both the lower side and the upper side demonstrates high selectivity of this filter.
