Abstract :
A perspective on the problems associated with automating the real-time process scheduling for sophisticated guidance, navigation, and control (GN&C) systems is provided. Some of the real-time scheduling issues that arise in the domain of GN&C are described. Several potentially relevant scheduling theories are described, and their relative advantages are discussed. Some of the technical problems associated with integrating the automatic scheduling techniques into the GN&C development process are spotlighted
