Abstract
In work places, such as industrial workrooms, offices or vichels we often come into a situation, where we have to face problems with noise. This paper deals with a performance analysis of most important LMS, RLS and adaptive notch filter algorithms employed in active control of acoustical noise. The stress lays mainly on explanation of the methodology of each algorithm, and the comparison when applied to a random periodic noise. Simulations results presented show a fair comparison in noise estimation, error convergence and autocorrelations of these algorithms when applied to reduce noise levels in a typical industrial workroom.
