  • Abstract
This work has two purposes. Firstly, we present a method for calculating harmonic propagation in weakly meshed distribution networks; secondly we present and analyze the results obtained using it. Essentially, the method consists of transform the weakly meshed network in a radial one and then uses the backward/forward method for calculating nodal voltages for fundamental and harmonic frequencies. The results reveal that harmonic voltages decrease as the number of links in the networks increases, showing in this way that meshed configurations could be used as a passive measure in order to mitigate harmonic propagation in distribution networks.
