Abstract :
In order to study the performance of the Gregorian subreflector and the small chamber of a dual-chamber compact range, a diagnostic technique which processes the complex far zone antenna pattern data to find the various radiation centers is used to determine the location of stray signals. By applying this technique to the patterns of the subreflector enclosed in the small chamber, the cross range location of desired and stray signals of the system can be determined. Consequently adjustments of the system can be made, such as placement of an absorber used to reduce the stray signal strength and improve the performance of the system. Experimental results of the system with different setups at 10 GHz are shown.<>
