The paper explores the formation route of group emotion and its crucial elements. Based on grounded theory, it is found that the formation process of group emotion surrounding with affective tone, emotional contagion, homogenous, in which relation orientation, rule orientation and belonging orientation interweave. Affective tone makes social emotion with “relationship harmony” override organizational requirements. In emotional contagion, group members tend to pay more attention to leaders´ emotion, especially to those having real power. However, emotional contagion doesn´t happen spontaneously. The result of emotional contagion demonstrates homogenous tendency of amplifying positive emotion and weakening negative emotion. In the end, the paper further discusses its specificity and existing problems with China basis.
