Public information service is a kind of public service, in its providing process there being inequity between urban and rural, among regions, and among social groups. And the inequity is a barrier to building harmonious society. The inequity enables the public to divide into the information-rich group and the information-poor group when they access and use public information service. This paper puts forward measures and plans to deal with inequity on the basis of analyzing these three inequity styles status and causes, according to the research on the spot.
