Engineering insurance, is one of the most general and effective method of project risk management in western countries with perfect insurance system. Engineering insurance not only provides simple insurance service but also supply risk management service to applicants according to the advantage of risk management. The article introduces the theories about engineering insurance risk management service. It also points out the gap of engineering insurance development level between developed countries and China. The measures of promoting engineering insurance development are put forward.
