Abstract
An inter multi-thread polling algorithm (IMTP) applied for the bandwidth allocation in Long-Reach passive optical network (LR-PON) is proposed. Simulation results show that IMTP algorithm can effectively reduce average packet delay and queue length, especially for the heavily-loaded ONUs.
