Abstract :
In this paper is presented an Axial-Flux Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator with disc-shaped magnets and internal coreless stator for low power applications. Disc-shaped magnets are not usually used in the construction of PM machines. This research will emphasize the advantages and disadvantages of using this type of magnets. In addition, the 2D simulation of the machine will be compared with 3D simulation of it. The simulations of the generator were performed in no-load conditions.
