  • Abstract
    Due to limitation in battery voltage used in electric vehicle and its typical load torque demand at its wheel, design of three phase induction motor having low voltage, high power, high torque density influence the machine designer to design it suitably for this application. In this paper a 34 volt, 3.5 kW three phase induction motor having low volume, less weight, high overloading and high pullout torque capability is designed, modeled and simulated in MATLAB Platform. For its steady state and transient electric as well as magnetic field analysis, it is redesigned in JMAG Designer and simulated it.
