Abstract :
A compound neural network based method to coordinate the transient stability control decision in power systems is proposed. The stability classifying part adopts a fuzzy competitive radial basis function network while a fuzzy competitive back-propagation network is applied to realize the function approximation for load-shedding. The simulation results of a practical power system demonstrate that the two-level compound neural network proposed can effectively coordinate the control decision of generator-tripping and load-shedding for power system transient stability
