Abstract :
This paper mainly presents a novel method for developing control algorithm for position control of Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (IPMSM) for servo drive applications. Adaptive Backstepping technique is used to build the control laws. The control technique incorporates the uncertainties occurring from variable side as well as from the parameter side. Stability of the controller is verified using Lyapunov Stability Theory and it found to be asymptotically stable. Simulation of the proposed control technique has been carried out using MATLAB/Simulink software.
