Abstract :
The paper deals with Power Quality (PQ) and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) related problems, occurred during the operation of a driving system with induction motor and AC-DC-AC converter. The induction motor´s driving system is presented, along with its characteristic features. An analysis is made with respect to the power quality indices related to the voltage and current absorbed from the power supply by the driving system. Details with respect to harmonic decomposition and power quality during the driving system supplying are discussed. Experimental results relative to the conducted electromagnetic disturbances introduced by the driving system in the network are presented. A discussion relative to anti-disturbances measures, along with their effects, is made. The harmonic analysis of the voltages and currents from the range 2...150 kHz is also discussed. Technical considerations related to the necessity of issuing standards for the range 2...150 kHz are approached.
