Abstract :
This paper presents performance studies using block oriented network simulation (BONeS) designer. The CATALYST is a RACE II project to interconnect ATM, DQDB, FDDI and Ethernet networks through satellite for future B-ISDN services. The model of the satellite bridge with ATM links has been based on the specification of the network interconnection requirement. Simulation studies have been done for given traffic scenarios. The results are very useful as reference values for traffic control, bandwidth resource allocation and dimension of the satellite bridge
