Abstract
In this paper, the properties of cylindrical and rectangular DRAs are reviewed and applications of the antennas to polarization control, polarization diversity, and direction of arrival determination are described. Theoretical and experimental results show that cylindrical and rectangular DRAs have useful radiation and impedance characteristics, which are determined by the permittivity of the dielectric material and dimensions of the resonator. It also shows that DRAs can be controlled to provide linearly or circularly polarized radiation, and they can be used in a diversity system, and the determination of DOA
