Abstract
In order to minimize the energy consumption of Time and Wavelength Division Multiplexed Passive Optical Networks (TWDM-PONs), an energy efficiency scheme was developed by modeling the TWDM-PONs with delay aware method. Simulation results showed that energy consumption per circle was significantly reduced by means of optimizing the wavelengths and delays according to the network load.
