Abstract :
Using Z scans employing 4.1-ns and 21-ps pulses, values of 4.0×10-17 cm2 and 4.2×10-17 cm2 were obtained for the singlet and triplet excited-state absorption cross sections of 4\´-[2-(7-benzothiazolyl-9,9-diethylfluoren-2-yl)ethynyl]-2,2\´:6\´,2"-terpyridyl platinum(II) chloride at 532 nm.
