Organization forgetting management is as important as organization learning to organizational innovation. Then how does organization forgetting influence organizational innovation? In answering this question, the research focused on the organizational innovation implicated by intentional organizational forgetting and organizational learning capability, and attempted to find the relationship between intentional organizational forgetting, organizational learning capability and organizational innovation. Based on the theory-driven conceptual model, a survey was made in 219 enterprises in the Pearl River Delta region of China. The empirical analysis shows that intentional organizational forgetting has both direct and indirect effect on organizational innovation while organizational learning capability plays a mediating role between them. The results suggest stronger incorporation of intentional organizational forgetting into theory about organizational innovation.
