Abstract :
This paper describes the methods employed to introduce students to image analysis and processing techniques at both the Undergraduate and the Graduate Level. A taught Undergraduate Course in Geographical Information Systems largely tackles problems of classification on existing images rather than the acquisition and processing of such images. The author draws on other examples taken from experience particularly in Soil Micromorphology
