Abstract :
A novel design of a silicon all-NPN floating active inductor is presented. Using a 0.8 μm BiCMOS technology with the NPN fT´s at 11 GHz, inductance values in the range of 10-70 nH can be realized on-chip for filter applications in the UHF range. To illustrate the operation of this floating inductor, simulation and experimental results are provided for its application in an 6th -order elliptic LC bandpass filter
