  • Abstract
This paper presents possible use of floating-point signal processor for the purpose of measuring harmonics and interharmonics and for detection of transient events in real-time. WPT and its characteristics to decompose signal into components were applied as calculation method. Also various wavelet-based and IIR filters were analysed. The main reason for that was to check the time used for the decomposition process in accordance with the WPT tree for 5 decomposition levels of the measurement window according to the quality standards of electricity.
