  • Abstract
Using the FDTD method and PML technique, the waveforms of input current and radiation field of the wire loop antennas with and without gap are calculated and compared; the transient radiation mechanism of the wire loop antennas is then analyzed. The characteristics of the antennas with distributed resistance loading are also studied. The simulation results show that the antennas can meet the demand of UWB application.
