  • Abstract
The authors describe work carried out on the drive system for a battery-powered 4-wheel drive racing car, having a projected performance level approximately equivalent to that of a current Formula 3 vehicle and an overall weight of 1000 kg. The drive-train is optimised for a high system efficiency and low mass, and incorporates full regenerative braking in order to achieve the maximum running time
