Abstract :
A simple and flexible scheme of optical millimeter-wave (MMW) signal generation with tunable Frequency Multiplication Factor (FMF), such as octupling, 12-tupling, 16-tupling or 18-tupling is demonstrated. Since no optical filters or DC bias are used, the MMW signal has the character of high-power output. The performances of BER and fiber dispersion in the long distance Radio over Fiber transmission are also discussed.
