Abstract :
Electric racing vehicles tend to be either short range racers, using high specific performance starter type batteries, or long range endurance vehicles, using deep cycling slow discharge batteries. Whilst these are interesting exercises they have little relevance to what would be needed from a production electric vehicle. The aim of this paper is to define a possible electric sports saloon car with equivalent performance to a Rover Metro GTi
