Abstract :
The idea of developing a small, compact cooling unit for cooling containers and small buildings, using a new technology for these applications known as cooling with displacement air flow, was born in February 1993 at Ericsson Components. The intention was for the cooling unit to be tailor-made to meet the strict requirements in respect of the indoor climate for telecommunications equipment, to possess high reliability and to cool the telecommunications equipment even in the event of mains supply failure. The result was the Telecool Aero, and the characteristics of this series of products are described below
