In pesticides using decision, to reduce the yield loss caused by pests, insects or funguses, farmers who are mostly loss aversion may use pesticides excessively with prevention of them. On the basis of the prospect theory value function, this paper provides a graphical description of reference point shift which affect the decision of pesticides using and a mathematical proof of the direction of their effect on judgment. Then according to the theoretical analysis, it briefly gives suggestion on how to reduce pesticides using and what aspects should study further to achieve our aim of using pesticides less.
