Abstract :
The resource-crunch problem caused by large-scale disasters is a crucial concern for optical mesh network survivability. In this paper, we study best-effort-fairness based re-provisioning algorithms to recover disrupted connections in case of post-disaster resource crunch. By exploiting a global bandwidth-degradation method, our proposed algorithms maintain network connectivity and maximize traffic flows in post-disaster optical networks.
