Abstract
In this paper, we propose two different linear precoding schemes for downlink transmission in multi-carrier code division multiple access (MC-CDMA) systems with multiple transmit antennas at the base station. These precoding schemes are used to suppress multiple access interference (MAI) and also to exploit diversity from multiple antennas. In this paper, it is assumed that user terminals are equipped with single receive antenna and in addition, they have very simple structure. The receiver in each mobile terminal does not have any knowledge about other users´ spreading sequences or channel state information. It is assumed that the channel state information is completely known at the transmitter. We will present the results of computer simulations for both schemes and compare them.
