Abstract :
Many new problems in mobile ad hoc network protocol stack design will emerge after directional antenna is used by wireless station. In this paper, research results about MAC, neighbor discovery and routing protocols in recent years are summarized. We believe that protocol stack under and below the network layer for directional antenna should be viewed as whole and designed by cross-layer method.
