The aim of this paper is to indicate the M&A efficiency of commercial bank. We take a case in China Everbright bank and China Investment Bank, and evaluate the M&A efficiency by factor analysis and data envelopment analysis, used the data during the period of 1995–2003. The analysis result reveals that the conclusion got by two kinds of analysis methods is basically similar, the efficiency drops after M&A, the performance is improved in the fourth year.
