Abstract
The development and preliminary exercise of a quick-look modeling tool for performance evaluation of complex network system concepts are discussed. The context within which the work has been undertaken is that of system design for Strategic Defense Initiative (SDI) battle management, where the traditional approach has been more detailed time-line simulation. The purpose of the present study is to provide a second system modeling approach, to be used synergistically along with the first one. The approach is based on a queuing model, and the equations describing the model are solved iteratively. The iteration scheme resembles a typical control system feedback loop
