Abstract :
One of the most important pillars that holds the current communication services is the possibility of a visual interaction between the actors involved in the complex process of information exchange. During the recent years, the integration of audiovisual elements in the communication platforms have supposed an important challenge in terms of technology and economy. The paradigm for system design are given in the cost/quality relation, since a smooth variation in one of the parameters could get the prototypes dearer or impoverish the audiovisual information quality. The search for a compromise between the parameters has led to the research presented in this paper, which is based on the design and development of a new multimedia tool for the synchronous/asynchronous delivery of audiovisual content.
