Abstract
An ultrashort optical pulse generator based on nonlinear pulse shaping is proposed and demonstrated. Nearly chirp-free Gaussian pulse with a quasi-Gaussian-shaped spectrum and a duty cycle of 5.5 % is generated in simulation.
