Abstract :
The Cellular and Personal Communication Service industries are demanding compact, light weight, and reliable telecommunications equipment. New zoning constraints require smaller buildings placing base station volume at a premium. The rapid deployment of equipment makes ease of manufacturing essential to decrease production lead times. Our response to these trends is a 3000 watt rectifier with 91% efficiency that complies with all United States and International requirements. This represents a 25% efficiency increase over our previous offering. The unit is simple to manufacture by way of an innovative sectional design. The rectifier is divided into two sections and these sections lend themselves to progressive assembly techniques. Final assembly is made simple with the use of a blind mate connector that eliminates the need for wires interconnecting the two halves
