Abstract
The authors discuss the interim results of the EPRI (Electric Power Research Institute) operator reliability program. They indicate that the basic hypotheses of the HCR (human cognitive reliability) correlation have been shown to be partially valid but that more work is required. In addition, both qualitative and quantitative insights are arrived at which can substantially aid utilities in their training programs in nuclear plant operations.<>
