Abstract :
The authors present a review of the human error probability (HEP) estimation methods used in the BWR (boiling water reactor) Individual Plant Evaluation Methodology (IPEM). These methods include: time-dependent accident response models and non-time-dependent manipulative action models. A survey of the types of models available for the quantification of time-dependent accident responses is presented, and a comparison of the IPEM response models for selected action versus simulator data is presented.<>
