Abstract :
In this paper we intend to investigate the behavior of squirrel single-cage and double-cage induction generators while connecting to the grid and compare them with each other. First, we investigate their different modes by modal and eigen values analysis. Then we use Matlab/Simulink software for simulation and verification of our analysis. Finally we show that both generators can play the role of frequency control to settle the frequency variations of the grid although squirrel double-cage generator can do it better.
