Abstract :
An optimum design method is presented for a homomorphic deconvolution system using an exponentially weighted complex cepstrum with a band-pass filter. A precise compression is derived for the deconvolved signal by introducing a transmission factor, which is defined as the ratio of the deconvolved signal to the desired signal. An optimal deconvolution system is defined as the system which maximizes the energy of the maximum distortion factor (=1-transmission factor). The performance of the proposed optimum system is greatly superior to that of the conventional system
