Abstract :
The author discussed some issues concerning the application of human-factors analysis to the design and implementation of maintenance management systems in nuclear power stations. He suggests that applying human factors at the function and task levels is the most cost-effective way of improving the way the system works. By way of illustration, he presents a few examples of problems together with approaches to understanding the problem and implementing solutions.<>
