Abstract
The most important rule in presenting data to a foundry is to find out in what form they can accept data and to try out the route as early as possible in the design cycle. This will quickly show up any problems and misunderstandings in what is required. In this context the author discusses layout formats; data transfer; design rule checking; and process control monitoring for MMICs
