Abstract :
The power and signal-to-noise ratio fluctuations and transmission penalties during transients in an all-optical gain-controlled WDM network have been investigated. The impact of the coherent self-homdyne crosstalk from a gain-clamped EDFA on the system´s performance has been evaluated for the first time.
